  • September 2008 - Next Stage, Inc. has been awarded a grant for $332,800 by the Veterans Affairs' Homeless Program.  Next Stage, Inc will use this $332.8K grant to to support the acquisition and renovation of a 25 bed transitional facility for homeless veterans.

  • December 2007 - Next Stage, Inc. wishes to acknowledge and thank Dr. Eric L. Raefsky and Ms. Victoria Heil, the Victoria Heil & Erick Raefsky Advised Fund of the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee for their monetary gift.  These funds will be used to support our homeless veterans associated with Next Stage, Inc.'s Homeless Veteran Assistance Program.
  • November 2007 - Next Stage, Inc. received a discretionary grant from Juliann K. and Joseph D. Maxwell Advised Fund and The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

  • November 2007 - Next Stage, Inc. received a van grant award from The Department of Veterans Affairs to assist with purchasing a van to transport homeless veterans to various medical institutions, appointments, interviews and other activities.
  • October 2007 - A grant was given to Next Stage, Inc. by the Help America Foundation to support activities during Operation Stand Down.
  • June 2007 - Next Stage, Inc. received a grant from Help American Foundation to assist with the women veterans' transitional house renovations.  Also, Birdie Anderson - President/CEO,  was honored during the  AtHome America Convention for her military service and for supporting the homeless veteran communities.
  • November 2006 - A Capital Grant and Per Diem Award was given to Next Stage, Inc. by The Department of Veterans Affairs to assist with purchasing a four-bedroom transitional house to provide wrap-around services for homeless women veterans in Middle Tennessee.
  • September 2006 - Next Stage, Inc. received a grant from The Department of Labor to assist with food, clothing and other items needed during the 14th Annual Operation Stand Down event in Nashville, TN.
