Eligibility Requirements
1. Proof of Veteran Status a. DD214 b. Military I.D. c. VA Medical ID or any government I.D. that reflects veteran status d. Referral from an agency where veteran status has been verified.
2. Homeless or Under-served Homeless is defined in the Stewart B. McKinney Act, 42 U.SC. & 11301, et seq. (1994), as "a person who lacks a fixed, regular, and adequate night-time residence; who has a primary night-time residency that is: (A) a supervised publicly or privately operated shelter designed to provide temporary living accommodations... (B) an institution that provides a temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized, or (C) a public or private place not designed for, or ordinarily used as, a regular sleeping accommodation for human beings."
Under-served includes veterans who are unable to receive assistance from other agencies either due to overflow or other non-qualifying requirements. Veterans with three or more consecutive months of unemployed status also quality for services.
